FAQ

 Q: What is Kinesiology?

A: Strictly defined, Kinesiology is the study of the mechanics of body movement. As it is used in B.E.S.T. it is the recognition that the body is an objective instrument that responds differently according to the quality of something that is in question. (Ex: when a person holds processed sugar in their hand, an individual's muscle will show less resistance when challenged. When organic honey is held, the muscle will show stronger resistance.) This can be extended to the quality of thoughts or feelings that are in question.

Q: What is B.E.S.T.?

A: B.E.S.T., or Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique, is a modality used by Chiropractors and Massage Therapists for over 40 years. B.E.S.T. is a clothed, physical, yet non-forceful energy balancing procedure-incorporating kinesiology to re-establish the full, natural healing potential of the body. B.E.S.T. removes the interference in order to balance the autonomic system and ultimately strengthen the healing power in the body.

Q: How should I prepare for my first B.E.S.T. session?

A: You are all that you need. An option for your first homework assignment: get out a pen (ideally blue ink) and piece of paper, and write a list of events, positive and negative, that happened in the first ten years of your life. (Ex: born with dislocated hip, ICU for first year or more, chronic ear infections, divorce, first puppy, earliest remembered birthday celebration, being tucked in at night, first favorite song, etc.) Make the list as long as need.  Some clients come with 10 events, some come with 100. Bring the list to your first session.

Q: How will I likely to feel after a session?

A: Most people feel a decrease of pain, improved range of motion, a sense of being grounded, focused,
balanced, clear and present, and a greater sense of understanding.

Q: How long will the effects of a
session last?

A: Effects vary according to person. For optimal, long lasting results a treatment plan will be established before you leave your first session. On average, two sessions per week for the first three weeks, followed by one intensive session every other week for 2-3 months.

Q: What’s the difference between an hour updating session and a 20 min session?

A:
Hour updating Balancing Sessions are personal, customized sessions with Christina Mann that have a direct focus extending beyond any protocol or formula for you to be at your highest potential.  20 min B.E.S.T sessions go according to a protocol established by Dr. M.T. Morter which average 15 minutes in length.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require 24 hours notice when canceling an appointment. Cancellations made with less notice are assessed a $50.00 cancellation fee. This allows the opportunity for other clients to schedule an appointment. Thank you for understanding this is because our Therapists are not salaried and have turned away other paying clients to hold the appointment for you.

Q: Do you travel and give sessions off-site?

Yes. Please call us for details.
